I just got my hair done at the Dry Bar... and I look like freaking Shirley Temple.

 Maybe it works for her, but not such a hot look on a 17 year old.

I need to take a moment to appreciate Glee.

I have been a die hard Gleek from the start. 

And yes, Glee has had its faults (like how, for example, without ANY rehearsal, everyone in the show bursts into song in perfect harmony... um not possible, and how they are all really like 30 but they are supposed be juniors and sophomores in high school? yeah no.), but I continue to be amazed, enthralled, inspired, uplifted, enamored (BLAINE)... basically I could go on forever. 

I love how they push the boundaries and are not afraid to address controversial and pressing issues which teens everywhere must face, and more importantly do so in an entertaining, light hearted fashion.  

I'm sure people across country, dare I say world, are moved by this show the way that I am, so I just want to say, thank you, Glee.

oh and KLAINE!!! HOLY MOTHER OF GOD. i'm in love with darren criss.

Today was a great day, considering it was a reminder of my perpetual singleness. 

But honestly, I didn't feel sad at all. 

(minus that one part when I cried because I saw an old man by himself at Sweet Rose, which made me think about being old and alone, which then made me think about being in love with someone who has dementia.... don't ask.)

I love my friends and I love my family. I know that I have people in my life who will always support me and love me simply because I am me. 

Anyways, I've been collecting quotes, which, at least in my opinion, define what I imagine love to be.

I usually think of valentines day as a really depressing day, but its not. Its more than writing cheesy messages and buying boxes of chocolates. Its a celebration of love. Love for whatever it is that makes me smile, that makes me forget the stress, that makes me cry, laugh.

Besides... this is my year. I can feel it.

LAAF

REALLY REALLY AWESOME DAY.

I spent the whole day at LAAF (by myself) going to classes (studio performance, essential listening, movement with the backbeats) and listening to A Cappella performances.
Then spent the night at the concert where Bruin Harmony, The Backbeats (sooo good) Jake Moulton (vocal percussion) and Mosaic (absolutely amazing) performed. 

This made me love A Cappella, and music in general, so much more and I am so glad I went! 

(... even though I knew no one there...)

Just a little side note: 

The essential listening class, which sounds boring, was one of the most inspirational, intriguing, intellectual, informative classes I've been to, and it made me SO EXTREMELY EXCITED for college . We listened to and analyzed music from Lil Wayne and Eminem, to Paul Simon, to Rihanna and Beyonce, to classical music in Latin. 

Because of the hour and a half I spent in that seminar, I will look at music differently from this point forward.  Shit.  It was that intense.
